Age & ID Requirements

Christina does not tattoo anyone under the age of 17, no exceptions. A Guardian/Parent must be present at the time of appointment and will be required to show valid government-issued I.D.

ALL clientele (including parents/guardians of underaged clients) must have government-issued photo I.D. that is not expired. Acceptable forms include:
Valid Driver’s License
Valid Passport
Other valid photo government-issued I.D.

Booking & Appointment Process

Click here to launch the appointment request form. Please allow 7 business days for a response. Christina reviews your reference photos to ensure she’s the right artist for your design. If not, we’ll let you know so you can find the right fit.

Major changes to your design (size, colour, placement, etc.) on the day of your appointment may result in hourly charges. Communicate your ideas before your appointment to avoid surprises.

We are located within Diztinctive Beauty & Tattoo - 5 minutes west of The Hitchin Post of High River at: 49015 538 Ave E, Foothills County, AB. To find our address you can google Diztinctive Body Art & Beauty and it will take you to our shop. Make sure to turn into the driveway with the blue sign 49015 going into neighbouring acreages.
Parking is limited to 2 spots maximum.

Christina is currently booking 10-12 weeks in advance for Tattoo & Beauty services - even for small tattoos. She does sometimes get cancellations, so if that happens then you’ll need to ensure your name is on the waitlist. Please specify if phone, email or text is best to get a hold of you on short notice.

Design & Approval

You’ll receive your design within one week prior to your appointment (often sooner). One copy will be sent via email for final approval and adjustments.

You can request adjustments after receiving your mock-up (sent within 7 days of your tattoo). This ensures a smooth appointment day.

Pricing & Estimates

You’ll receive your design within one week. Minimum charge: $100 (up to 45 minutes)
Christina’s rate: $150/hour (regardless of size or complexity)

Tattoo Process & Aftercare

Only the highest quality, hypoallergenic inks from reputable suppliers (Dynamic & Eternal Ink). Allergic reactions are rare but possible.

Ink is deposited into the hypodermis, about 2mm below the epidermis. Improper depth or healing can cause fading, sometimes requiring a touch-up. Fill out the tattoo inquiry form today!

Tattoo ink is a foreign substance; your body gradually absorbs and breaks it down, causing fading and less crisp lines over time.

Touch-Ups & Healing

Free touch-ups within 6 months of your appointment (on Christina’s work only).
After 6 months, touch-ups are charged at the current hourly rate.
Wait at least 6 weeks before booking a touch-up to allow full healing.
Client is responsible for aftercare; refer to our Aftercare section for guidance.

Tanned/dry skin is harder to tattoo. Sun lovers should consider booking in Fall, Winter, or Spring.

Wait at least 2 weeks (or until scabbing is complete) before swimming or soaking in baths/lakes/pools. This also applies to saunas.

Take a week off from intense workouts and heavy sweating to avoid premature peeling and issues with healing.

Extensions

It depends on the type of extensions you get: tape-ins need to be reinstalled every 4-6 weeks, beaded extensions require maintenance every 6-8 weeks, and fusion extensions require maintenance every 10-12 weeks.

Yes! Halo-weft extensions are a popular service, using a beaded method to secure 3-5" wefts at the crown.

Yes, gently brushing from the root twice daily helps reduce matting.

It’s not recommended, as pool chemicals can dry out extensions and cause matting.

This can be due to product build-up. Make sure to thoroughly rinse your scalp, pulling apart extensions to let water reach the roots.
